Senior Software Developer (#SSD-0126)

Job Description :

Analysis, design, code, develop, test, implement and modify software applications based on business and system requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze software requirements. Work closely with other developers, quality assurance, and product management teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards. Ensure the development of high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions. Design and implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps to streamline software deployment. Write and maintain code in C++, PowerShell, and AutoIt. Develop secure software installation packages using tools such as InstallShield, WiX toolset, and AutoIt. Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and troubleshooting for existing software applications. Implement updates and enhancements to improve system performance. Document code consistently to facilitate ease of understanding and future maintenance. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and production issues in a timely manner. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools that can enhance development processes and improve overall efficiency. Maintain and update comprehensive documentation for developed applications. Provide accurate time estimates for development tasks and ensure on-time delivery of software projects. Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of software projects. Implement and maintain security best practices in software development to protect sensitive data. Stay updated on security vulnerabilities and proactively address potential risks. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to contribute innovative solutions.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 5 years of experience as Software Engineer, Software Developer, IT Analyst, or any job title involving software development. Will accept a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience. Experience must include software development using C++, PowerShell, and AutoIt; developing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Azure DevOps; and secure software packaging and deployment using InstallShield, WiX toolset, and AutoIt.

Work location:

AMPCUS, Inc., 14900 Conference Center Drive, Suite 500, Chantilly, VA 20151. Travel/relocation to various unanticipated client locations throughout the US may be required.
