Senior Software Developer/Tester(#SSDT-0150)

Job Description :

Requirement analysis, test strategy development, test case creation, test script development, test execution, defect tracking and reporting for Extract, Transform and Load (ETL)/ Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence (BI) applications. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the function within the Scaled Agile Framework. Analyze Source Systems, Staging area, Fact and Dimension tables of the multi-dimensional model of the target Data Warehouse. Review requirements and specifications and define test conditions. Analyze and review ETL mappings to understand the technical implementation of business rules. Create Test Plan and Testing Strategies for testing ETL/Data Warehouse Applications. Design, develop, and maintain Data/ Extraction, Transform and Load (ETL) validation scripts to enable data-driven insights. Identify and implement enhancements to existing ETL processes. Develop detailed Test Cases and Test Scenarios to support quality deliverables. Review and develop test data scripts based on ETL mapping artifacts and other technical documentation. Perform System Integration testing of ETL process to validate the data flow from source system to target system and reconcile data between source and target systems. Write complex SQL queries for querying data against different databases for data verification process. Test complex ETL mappings, mapplets and reusable transformations for daily data loads. Perform regression testing to ensure that the existing functionality is not broken due to new deployments/code changes. Analyze test results and conduct root cause analysis of identified defects to replicate and resolve. Ensure all testing activities are conducted throughout the life cycle, and that the results from these activities are verified, and improving the overall quality and reliability. Stay up to date with the latest data engineering and ETL development techniques and technologies. Use of AWS Redshift, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, JIRA, HP ALM, and related tools.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field and 5 years of experience as Software Engineer or Software Tester or Test Lead or any job title involving testing and development of ETL Database applications. Will accept a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience. Experience must include testing and development of ETL Database applications.
